I have pleasure in presenting our school website. Our website is a communication portal, which is constantly developing and evolving, and we encourage you to visit our website regularly in order to sample Bryn Tawe’s vibrant community.

Bryn Tawe was established in 2003 with 95 pupils. Since then, the growth in pupil numbers has been remarkable, with many of the first cohort now in University! In a relatively brief period the school has established a successful reputation academically, culturally and socially. We are proud of our pupils’ GCSE results, which are amongst the best in Wales. In 2010, Bryn Tawe features as one of Swansea’s most successful schools in terms of results, and probably in Wales with over 79% of our pupils gaining at least 5 GCSE grades A* – C. The school Estyn inspection three years ago confirmed the high standard of our pupils’ attainment as well as the standard of teaching and learning at the school.

Bryn Tawe is a close and friendly school with a wide ranging choice of extra-curricular opportunities. We want our pupils to grow into responsible and ambitious citizens, who are tolerant, respectful and compassionate towards others.

We are proud of our school buildings and facilities, and our significant investment annually provides our pupils with a learning environment which is second to none.

“Ennill llwyr yw ennill iaith”, our school motto, reminds us of the advantages of being bilingual. Being proficient in two languages allows our students to enjoy the rich cultures of both languages, as well as enhancing the opportunities available to them in the job market.

It is a privilege to provide our pupils with the best possible educational experiences, within a wide choice of academic and vocational routes. We pride ourselves in the personal support that every pupil at Bryn Tawe enjoys as a member of our school family.
