During the week the school’s Year 12 students have been throwing themselves into various linguistic activities in order to meet the requirements of the LANGUAGES’ WEEK of the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification.
The pupils had the opportunity to have a taste of a language they had never studied before. There were workshops in four languages - German, Italian, Mandarin and Sign Language. The aim of the week is to give the pupils linguistic and cultural experiences as they act in a foreign language, work with video conferencing and even cook and eat traditional delicacies such as Chinese Dumplings, Lebkuchen/Stollen and Antipasti! Who knows which skills will come to the fore after this multicultural week?
