IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM WG REGARDING THE VACCINE

BE VIGILANT: We have been made aware of fake vaccine consent forms that are
being circulated in schools by anti-vaccine groups which aim to spread fear, division
and mistrust.

Please remain vigilant, share this warning with friends and family, and make sure
you turn to reliable sources to get the facts:

SPEAKING AND LISTENING ENGLISH ASSESSMENT YEAR 11

For the attention of year 11 parents:

Unfortunately, and due to staff absences owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have no choice but to postpone next week’s GCSE English Language assessment. These assessments will be rescheduled for the period after the half-term holiday. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience, but as noted above, this is an unprecedented situation beyond our control.

Once again, we would like to demonstrate our appreciation for the effort and commitment of all learners as we prepare for this task.  Many thanks for your co-operation and should you wish to contact me, please do not hesitate to do so via the school’s telephone number or by e-mailing ShawC36@hwbcymru.net

IMPORTANT – YEAR 10 PARENTS

Good morning. I would like to thank all the pupils who are currently adhering to the isolation expectations to year 10. Thanks also to parents of year 10 pupils who ensure that your child is isolated. We realise how difficult and inconvenient this is, but also the importance of why avoiding the spread of the virus is so important, with the numbers rising in Swansea on a daily basis.

Very unfortunately, it has emerged that some of Bryn Tawe’s year 10 pupils have ignored the self-isolation rules of Cofid. We as a school have received information about pupils who have been socialising outside the school, although they have received clear instructions from TTP throughout the School to stay home to avoid spreading the virus. I would appeal to all pupils once again to follow these key rules in the interests of the health of all those who are part of the School community. Similarly, I appeal to the parents of these pupils from year 10 to ensure that your child follows these important rules.

If you wish to discuss the matter further, please contact us at the School.
