YEAR 8 PARENTS

Thank you for your co-operation today following a positive Covid case in year 8 – it is very much appreciated. Every pupil in year 8 needs to self isolate. We will confirm the correct self isolation dates due to this case as soon as possible.

Diolch.

LFT UPDATE FOR YEARS 7-9

As you will be aware from recent Welsh Government announcements, there is a recommendation for pupils in years 10-13 in secondary schools to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) twice a week to identify asymptomatic pupils. The option to take tests is voluntary. Please see the letter below for further information on the testing process:

MESSAGE FPOR PARENTS IN THE PENDERRY AND MYNYDDBACH WARDS

Dear parent/carer,

I have been asked to share with you the information below about a mobile testing unit that is visiting the Penderry and Mynyddbach wards for the next seven days. It will offer a convenient drop-in testing option for anyone with either the ‘classic’ signs of coronavirus or other symptoms they may feel are unusual for them or their child.

The health board is keen that as many people in our community are aware of the facility as possible so has asked that schools, libraries and other community resources share the information widely.

Regards,
Simon Davies
