St. David’s Day
St David’s Day was celebrated in a slightly different way this year! A virtual St David’s Day Service was prepared with about 25 pupils taking part by reading poems, presenting facts about St David and performing a sketch about the history of the language. Here is a link to our St David’s Service:
As usual we held a Chairing Ceremony, but by far this year! Thanks to the main pupils for presenting, to Arwen for playing the harp, to Chloe and Daisy for chairing. Dewi Prysor was our adjudicator this year. Congratulations to Owain James of Yr.9 for winning the chair, to Nataya Lewis of Yr.10 for coming second and to Hanna-Non Cordingley for coming third. Congratulations also to all the winners in the year 7-13 competitions. It was a strange experience to film Owain being chaired in the school yard and then showing the video to the rest of the school on St David’s Day. Here is a link to our virtual Chair Ceremony
