FEEDBACK ON OUR PARENTS DISTANCE LEARNING QUESTIONNAIRE

Thank you to all of you who completed the recent questionnaire on our distance learning provision. We have analysed your answers and are keen to continue to improve our blended learning provision. It was good to see that 86% of our parents were happy with the provision so far from the information gathered through the LA’s recent questionnaire to parents.

See our plans in the presentation below on how we are going to respond to some of your suggestions. Remember to contact us if you have any further feedback?

Feedback to parents on distance learning at Bryn Tawe

Our intention is to send a questionnaire to our parents at the end of term to update your views on the provision so that we can further refine and improve our provision as we prepare for September.

I will share some information with all our parents about our plans to re-open on Monday – keep an eye on our website.

INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN TEACHING?

Are you interested in a career change? Would you like to go into teaching? Do you have children who are graduating from university this Summer or do you know young people in a similar situation? Is your child in year 12 and starting to consider higher education courses?

See this letter  for details about an opening evening being held by ‘Yr Athrofa’ this Thursday, the 11/06/20.

RE-OPENING ON THE 29TH JUNE

As you know, following the announcement by the Minister for Education and Skills on Wednesday, we intend to re-open to pupils on the 29th of June. All pupils will have the opportunity to attend in order to come to school to meet their teachers and some of their classmates, to catch up and continue to learn and to prepare for the new academic year.

Naturally, it is a worrying and uncertain time for all of us. As you can imagine, your children’s school experience will be different during this unprecedented time, but I can assure you that we will prioritise the health and safety of your children and school staff.

We are in the process of preparing thoroughly and planning carefully so that our pupils can return to a safe and welcoming environment.

We will be contacting you over the coming weeks with clear and specific details for the reopening of Bryn Tawe. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact us at school or via our usual email.

Following the announcement, Mr Nick Williams, Director of Education for the City and County of Swansea has written to all parents in the authority – see his letter here.

Could all parents complete the Local Authority questionnaire below by 10th June at the latest? This will be key in supporting us in planning to reopen.
