A big congratulations to year 8’s rugby squad on being crowned regional champions. After beating Ystalyfera 20-5 in the final round of the Ospreys West competition, the squad went on to play against Maesteg to see who the best team in the region was. It was a game and a half and a special advertisement for rugby in schools. Even with the bad weather, the boys attempted to play good rugby and they were ready to tackle whenever possible. It was a very physical game and the big boys from Maesteg were fierce when tackling – they must be praised for this.  At the end of the game, the final score was 15-14 to Bryn Tawe. It was great to see the squad’s faces after all their efforts.  An excellent performance, and now the squad will go on to play against Bro Dinefwr in the last 32 of the Welsh Cup. Good luck!
