‘A’ Level Results 2018

It is a pleasure to congratulate all of our year 13 pupils on their excellent A Level results this year. These are a result of many years of hard work finally coming to fruition. 97% of our pupils achieved the Level 3 threshold, i.e. 2 A Levels at A*-E. Of all the grades our pupils achieved, 27% were A*/A with 79% being A*-C grades. The Welsh Baccalaureate is again an area of great success for our pupils with 88% achieving an A*-C in the Skills Challenge Certificate and 32% achieving an A*/A – excellent! It is also pleasing to see all our pupils who followed vocational courses achieving well. This has led to all pupils that applied being able to study at the university of their choice.

Leading the way this year with at least 3A*/A were Leya Prosser and Iwan Tomos, with Rhydian Cleaver, our Head Boy, achieving 4 A*/A. Special congratulations also go to our Head Girl, Jasmine Lewis who achieved an amazing 5 A* grades at ‘A’ Level – the best yet at Bryn Tawe!

I would like to thank all our staff for their thorough and relentless support of our pupils as well as to thank our parents for their continued support of the school. Our best wishes go to all our year 13 pupils who are leaving to begin a new and exciting chapter in their lives. Thank you to you all for your excellent contribution to life at Bryn Tawe and may we wish you every success in whatever you may choose in the future.
