Please see the letter below explaining the situation regarding a positive Covid test at the school. Test, Trace, Protect have already alerted all ‘contacts’ of the positive case to self isolate. The school will be open on Monday to all year groups as usual.

An evening to disseminate information in respect of university applications and the UCAS process
September 2020
An evening to disseminate information in respect of university applications and the UCAS process
Dear student/ parent/ guardian,
An evening will be held for Year 13 Parents in order to present information on the UCAS process, student finance and other relevant matters. It will be held via Teams on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:00 pm.
Your child has received an invite to join the meeting on their hwb email, but the meeting can also be accessed via the calendar in Teams.
A representative from the University of South Wales will be sharing relevant information as well as answering any questions that you may have.
During the evening we will also have an opportunity to discuss a range of salient issues relevant to this important year, for example:
- Re-sit examinations,
- Year 13 progress monitoring,
- Key internal dates in respect of submitting applications,
- Applications for medical courses,
- Applications to OxBridge courses,
- The importance of making the right decisions,
- The importance of the Personal Statement / researching apprenticeships
- Predicted grades,
- College visits,
- The UCAS process itself,
- Student finance and grants.
This is an exciting time for our students, and we are eager to work closely with them as well as with you to ensure that Bryn Tawe students take full advantage of the best opportunities available to them.
